Give Yourself a Break

You can't read one more word, hit one more ball, and practice another minute. In short, you need to take a break. It takes honesty and confidence to admit that you've hit the wall and, even, more important, to take a timeout for yourself before you hit the wall. When Tiger became a professional golfer, he learned quickly that he couldn't compete every week, and give clinics, and make public appearances, and take care of business commitments, and work on his game, and still have a life. He realized that he needed time to recover from the stress of competition, prepare for upcoming tournaments, and just hang out. And if that meant missing opportunities to compete, or turning down offers that cut into his time, it was worth the sacrifice. Make the same sacrifice for yourself. Work hard, play hard, but take time to recharge your batteries. After all, you're only human, so why try to be anything else?TIGER SAYS . . .
